San Sebastián, 1973. Tras estudiar una ingeniería y descubrir que aquello no le emocionaba demasiado, comienza a trabajar como profesor de Educación Secundaria en institutos públicos, a la vez que se forma en distintos aspectos de la narrativa audiovisual. Su frecuente distanciamiento con la realidad junto a su exacerbado optimismo le permiten creer que a su edad sigue siendo una joven promesa como cineasta.

After completing an engineering degree and discovering that it didn't thrill him that much, he began to work as a Secondary Education teacher in high schools, while studying film directing. His habit of frequently distancing himself from reality, combined with his unfailing optimism has lead him to believe that he is still a young person with the world ahead of him in filmmaking.
